new putter

Went to Nevada Bob’s today during lunch, and with the help of Mr. Mitchell, I picked out a shiny new putter, so now I’m all set.

I recieved my new George Winston CDs today, and I’m enjoying them. Yeah yeah – feel free to give me grief for listening to him, but sometimes I’m a sucker for acoustic piano, and for some reason, GW’s music is able to elicit a very emotional response from me this time of year. My parents used to play his CDs (or tapes I guess…) around the house while I was growing up, so there’s quite a bit of nostaglia there.

Something to be said for music your parents play — I’m very partial to the whole American Folk Scene from the late 50′s through the 60′s. Kingston Trio, Highwaymen, New Christy Minstrals and all the rest. Thanks to my dad.

I used to feel dorky because of it, but it’s cultural literacy, and I’m grateful for it now.
