weekend update
Meghan and I had a great weekend at my parents’. Both Meghan and my Dad are working next weekend (that happens in the healthcare business), so we celebrated our family christmas this weekend. The time was enjoyed very much by all, and it was a great reminder to me of how much I appreciate my family.
Like I mentioned, Meghan’s working next weekend, so I’ll be a bachelor for most of the weekend. I’ll be out with the parents again for the day on Saturday, and I’m planning on brewing either Friday or Sunday. So…if you’re around for the weekend and have nothing to do, gimme a call.
As an aside, I just got a call from my mom, and it appers that both my brother and my dad have come down with the flu. Let’s hope I’ll avoid that after spending the weekend with them.

Sounds like you had a good weekend… with the exception of that whole possibly-contracting-the-flu thing. I’m already doping up on vitamin C in anticipation of spending Christmas with my niece and nephew (my niece has strep throat).
And a slight point of order:

I think Meghan would have issues with you claiming such a label… unless, of course, you are a “young knight in the service of another knight in feudal times” such as definition 4 suggests, then you’re fine. :-)
Ahhh, Vitamin C drops… that reminds me of when I used to smuggle packages of them from the shopette (little store) during those rare opportunities in basic training. It was the closest we could come to candy!
Do you guys have a few days off around the weekend? I just got approval for Thursday – Monday, so I may be able to use one of those days to hang out and simulate bachelorship.
I have friday and sunday free. Friday, though I’ll be spending some quality time in the garage brewing. If you wanna come hang out for the festivities, feel free.

Ahh – to work in academia. Yeah – I get Christmas Eve off.
