Last night, I ordered a new DSLR, and I'm incredibly excited about it. It's the 6.1mp Nikon D70 (not D70s, mind you). I ordered it with two lenses, a Nikkor 28-100mm Zoom and a Nikkor 70-300mm Zoom. There are a few reasons why I chose the D70 over the D70s model. The only difference between the two models is that the D70 has a 1.8" screen and the D70s has a 2" screen. Because of this, the D70 is a fair amount cheaper than the "s" model. Also, Nikkon has released a few firmware updates for the D70 that improve autofocus function. For some reason, none of these updates have been released for the D70s model.

The camera should arrive (hopefully) mid next week. I'll look forward to posting my first batch of pictures!
