Even though you've gone to the dark side (I'm a Canon fan), I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. Going from a P&S to SLR feels like going from a toy to a real camera when you're trying to take pictures.

I have a ~3 year old Canon Powershot S110. It's a 2.1 mp. We've really liked it, and it still takes great pictures. I was just feeling limited by the lack of zoom and finer-grained control of the camera. I'd highly recommend Canon's PowerShot line.

Wow, very nice! I'm looking for a replacement as well, but one it's more important features will be how small it is... Something like the Canon Powershot D400 or something -- I don't know enough about photography to merit a nicer camera anyway. :)

Enjoy!

You dog. That's my dream camera. Did you get a decent price? Where did you order it from?
