Captcha

Well – I’ve been forced to pull out all the stops. After being slammed w/ comment spam the last few days, I’ve implemented a Captcha system. Sorry for the inconvenience this causes, but it was a necessary step. I’ve kept the string length quite small, so I don’t expect it to be too much of an issue.

Were you getting spam even with the approval when posting at least 1 link? It’s been working fine for me.

Maybe it helps that I added a robots.txt file to block search engines for indexing my blog (not necessarily all robots, of course, but it helps).

No – it wasn’t getting through the moderation system, but it was still annoying to have to delete all the comments that were held up in moderation.

I don’t really want to implement the robots.txt approach, cause I like to allow google and friends to index my site. I don’t think that’s the root of the problem, though, anyway.

And I just like the cool designs the Captcha system creates!
