the white castle
Posted on October 25th, 2005 by erik
Soooo……I’ve been known, from time to time, to enjoy a slider or two from white castle. Don’t we all? I mean seriously, what is there not to like about the cute little burgers?
Anyway, I found a clone recipe for white castles today. Seems simple enough. I’m gonna have to try it out soon - maybe this weekend.
That’s downright sick.
Oh come on! No love?
Ahhh, White Castles! I must say I’ve been a fan all my life, though I rarely eat them. And most of the people who criticize them have never had one. I suppose I decided I liked them before I knew it was socially unacceptable to do so (around the age of 3, I would guess) ;-).
To commemmorate this blog post, I decided to stop by the castle on the way home from work today :-)
Good stuff.
…and how do you feel the day after? Did you have a great “sliding” experience :-)
Heh - no problems at all. Have you ever had white castle? They’re really not greasy at all. The burgers are steamed on a bed of onions…no grease involved.
That’s what I’ve never understood - why they have such a reputation for being greasy. They may get slightly soggy (the buns, anyway) from the steam, but greasy? Not at all.
I’ve never felt at all weird after eating White Castles either.
EW! Sliders are the devil.
