Bjorn and Benjamin’s first encounter
Nate and Kara came over to visit last week and brought their 7-week old son Benjamin to visit. Ben and Bjorn got along well as far as I could tell, though Bjorn seems to be a bit bored…

Greetings, all. Just wanted to drop you a note that I’m still alive :-). I’m sure some of you have noticed my absence from the interweb for the last few days. I took the last half of this week off to be home with Meghan and Bjorn. It has been really good to have this time together as a family. Meghan and I have spent countless hours smiling, laughing, and generally enjoying our new family member. I have a bunch more pictures to post…I’ll try and get to that tonight.
Meghan, Bjorn, and I returned last night from spending the weekend at the parent’s place in Spicer. Normally the extended Anderson family gets together for a Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve, but this year, we moved the date forward a few weeks so that my grandparents could get to Texas a few weeks earlier. We had a delightful time, and it was great to introduce Bjorn to a few more of his relatives (it was nice to have a few more eager hands to take care of him, too).
A few pictures are up here.
As many of you already know, Meghan and I had the incredible joy of welcoming our little boy, Bjorn William Anderson, into the world a few days ago on Thanksgiving evening. He is such an incredible, beautiful creation, and Meghan and I have been filled with such joy. At his birth, Bjorn weighed 9 lbs, 4 oz, and was 21.75 inches tall. Not a small guy! Thank you all so much for your calls, visits, and prayers. Mom, dad, and baby are all doing very well…except for a bit of fatigue on my and Meghan’s part. ;-)
